Back again to provide the latest camera information from well-known Japanese companies, Canon, some time ago there were rumors that Canon will release its latest camera product, and finally the rumor was answered already, Canon finally officially announced its latest camera products, Canon EOS 5DS and 5DS R and unmitigated canon provides a major change to these two cameras, namely by implanting a 50 megapixel sensor different from its rival company, Nikon which only implements a 36 megapixel sensor on its camera, this way Canon EOS 5DS and 5DS R can be dubbed the king of Megapixel DSLR cameras.
The EOS 5DS and 5DS R have the latest DSLR cameras from Canon that have a 50.6 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor. With a high megapixel camera this will definitely be favored by studio and landscape photographers. the main difference is that the EOS 5DS has a low-pass filter that sits in front of the camera sensor, while the EOS 5DS R camera does not have a low-pass filter in the front sensor section.
The use of the filter pass itself suppresses the moire effect by blurring digital images captured by the camera. Low pass filters can be a weakness or strength in a DSLR camera and this depends on the user.
The latest camera from Canon has a magnesium alloy body and optical viewfinder with 100% coverage and a 3.2-inch LCD screen. and for the design and layout of the buttons the same as the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. And this camera is designed to reduce internal vibrations when the lens in the body of the EOS 5DS and 5DS R.
Another feature of the EOS 5DS and 5DS R is the 61 point AF system where 41 points are cross-type and 5 other points are double-cross AF. the new camera is also equipped with EOS intelligent Tracking and Recognition (iTR) technology for face and color tracking that is also available on the EOS 7D Mark II, as well as a mirror vibration control system that reduces blurred images due to vibration from mirror movement and 150,000 pixel RGB metering sensor + IR with flicker detector. In video recording the EOS 5DS and 5DSR are slightly different from the EOS 7D mark II because when recording 1080p video only at 30 fps instead of 60 fps
These twins have a standard ISO 100-6400 sensitivity range that can be expanded to 12800. both of these cameras offer 1.3x and 1.6 crop shooting modes. Although shooting with 1.6 crop images taken still has a 19.6 megapixel resolution. Both of these continuous shooting capabilities are 5 FPS in full resolution, because of this high resolution, the need for storage requires considerable storage. Both of these new DSLRs are also equipped with dual DIGIC 6 processors.
On the software side there is a new feature, namely Fine Detail Picture Style to enhance the detail and sharpness and screen of Custom Quick Control that can be customized by the user. There is also a time lapse video mode where a range of photos can be combined automatically to form a video.
Sensor Full frame 50.6 MP
The main feature of this new DSLR is a 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor with a resolution of 50.6 megapixels. The resolution is much higher than the 36.3 megapixel sensor on the Nikon D810 and Sony Alpha 7R. And like the two cameras, we expect 5DS and 5DSR to be very popular with studio and landscape photographers, especially medium format photographers. The main difference between 5DSR and its non-R sibling is the complete low-pass filter cancellation to maximize sensor resolution.
For those who care about specifications, this new DSLR has a magnesium alloy body, optical viewfinder with 100% coverage and a 3.2-inch 1.04 megapixel LCD screen. The design side and button layout look similar to the 5D Mark III so that it won't feel strange to those who upgrade.
61 point AF, 150K-pixel RGB + IR metering sensor
Another important feature of 5DS and 5DSR is the 61 point AF system where 41 points are cross-type and 5 other points are double-cross AF. EOS Intelligent Tracking and Recognition (iTR) technology on the 7D Mark II is also available for face and color tracking, as well as a mirror vibration control system that reduces blurred images due to vibrations from mirror movement and a 150,000 pixel RGB + IR metering sensor with flicker detector. However, unlike the 7D Mark II, 5DS and 5DSR record 1080p video at 30 fps instead of 60 fps.
In addition, the two DSLRs have an ISO 100 - 6400 standard sensitivity range that can be expanded to 50 - 12800. Besides taking full frame images, they also offer 1.3x shooting modes and 1.6x crop. Even with 1.6x crop, you still get 19.6 MP resolution image. Capable of continuous 5 FPS shooting at full resolution, you can imagine the data capacity and computing power needed. To handle this, the two new DSLRs are equipped with two Digic 6 processors.
On the software side, there is a new feature called Fine Detail Picture Style to enhance the detail and sharpness and screen of Custom Quick Control that can be customized by the user. There is also a time lapse video mode where a range of photos can be combined automatically to form a video.
EF 11-24mm f / 4L USM lenses
Also introduced today is the EF 11-24mm f / 4L USM lens, a wide-angle zoom lens designed for landscape and architectural photographers. For this lens, Canon claims minimal reflections and chromatic distortion thanks to a new optical design that includes 87 mm front aspherical lens elements, UD and super UD lenses. Ghosting can also be reduced thanks to the use of Subwavelength Structure Coating (SWC) on two lens elements. An Air Sphere Coating (ASC) is also applied to the fourth lens in a group of lens elements to further reduce reflections and improve color balance.

Price of Canon EOS 5DS and 5DS R
the price of the EOS 5DS is priced at a relatively expensive price, which is at a price of Rp. 50.3 million. While the price of the Canon EOS 5DS R is planned to be marketed at a price of Rp. 54 million. These two new Canon cameras will be marketed globally in the upcoming June 2015. The price of these two cameras is relatively expensive but very comparable to the maximum performance and capabilities of the two latest Canon DSLR cameras that are not owned by previous DSLR cameras.
