DxOMark has tested several devices objectively and subjectively in a stable and controlled condition. Even this camera testing institute also makes dummy humans with realistic skin colors to get the consistency and accuracy of the colors of every Smartphone's shots. So, coming up with a jargon Smartphone selfie does not mean having the best quality front camera, it could be that the vendor places more emphasis on the selfie camera sector.
